PS: Due to unknown reasons my friend's Nvidia settings decided to switch itself into read only mode. After this reboot the machine and the game should use the correct graphic card (PROBLEM FIXED). All you have to do is to go into "Nvidia control panel" and add the game manually to the "Manage 3D settings" and select the default Graphic card from the drop down menu. Developers indeed posted how to fix this problem, unfortunately that particular post is not coming up on top of the search. On top you have the name of the card used in the game (listed on my friend's machine as IntelHD). This was confirmed by going into Options> Settings> Graphics Settings. The issue is indeed with Laptop using the default IntelHD graphic card instead of the GF960M. so I've been looking into this for few hours now and managed to solve the problem. It is a shame there is no option to change this setting in the game but I guess it takes quite a bit of programming. Looks to be an issue when 2 graphic cards are available. Just to cut to the chase I fixed this problem on my friend's machine. I'm not code monkey enough to know how to force it to use your real graphics card and keep it that way but thankfully the games almost entirely clientside so someone may figure it out.įIX for the Nvidia. They never fixed magicka and if this bug is here too then it's a long standing one thats run across their entire game selection. What I don't want to say is if it's like magicka was then arrowhead isn't likely to ever fix this. The only other problem I could see is that Helldivers for some reason doesn't want to accept that the NVIDIA cards exist and default to the onboard intel again in towers but that's much less likely. After getting off the laptop I got magicka to run fine and full speed. The games coded for some reason to pick it's card automatically and stick with it and in laptops the game defaults to the internal Intel Graphics Card, which is poop instead of your actual card. It's either you have one of or both these things:
